Since the Malayan proposition proved fruit-
less, I am informed that Preece, Cardew & Rider have taken no further action in regard to disposal in the absence of fresh instructions. They are, however, quite prepared to act and feel that prospects of disposal are good.
7.
In the circumstances I propose to ask them to resume their activities with regard to disposal at the earliest possible date, and would appreciate your concur-
rence.
8.
On receipt of your reply I will take the nec- essary action end also arrange for Hong Kong to be fully informed, as it is obviously desirable that the Hong Kong Telephone Company should reaffirm their acceptance of disposal costs which may ari se.
Yours sincerely,
Drumwood
